What year did you begin your WAIS
scholarship? 2008
What is your most significant achievement
in sport?
Coming 6th as a team at the 2006 Gymnastics World championships. It was such a great competition and the team really came together and produced great performances.
What are your future sporting goals?
My goal is the 2008 Olympic Games. After that who knows? I know that I will stay in the sport as long as my body will let me, so I'll create new goals to strive for.
What has gaining an educational scholarship with FIA
meant to you?
Because of my high involvement in sport, I really grew a passion for health and fitness. It was a great course for me to do whilst doing my gymnastics. It's a very flexible course and since I was training for the Olympic Games, it really worked for me in the sense that I could study when I wasn't training. Plus it helped me with my gymnastics training in the sense that I learnt so much from the course that I could apply to my own training.
What courses have you completed with FIA
so far?
Certificate III in Fitness - Fitness Instructor
Why did you want to complete this type of study and how
do you think you will use it?
I've already used it in my own gymnastics training plus I would like to continue my knowledge further in this area and also massage.
Other than Gymnastics and completing the FIA
scholarship are you also engaged in other work or study?
Thanks to my gymnastics I have received a full scholarship to Oregon State University in America which starts September 2008. So I shall Study there whilst still doing gymnastics.
What are your career goals after sport?
I don't think I will ever stop sport! After gymnastics I plan to have got my education and find a good job. But I’m sure I’ll find another sport which I will love and strive for excellence in.
